Micromic Microphones !

Now you can amplify virtually any instrument - and use the same mic as a vocal mic!

Fantastic sound - lightweight - quick attaching and removal - no clips or hooks - no marring instrument !

Universal Micromic on violin                  Universal Micromic on harmonica

And incorporating tiny new powerful "rare earth" magnets in the Universal style Micromic, the acoustic pickup uniquely attaches and removes from your instrument instantly and securely!

The acoustic pickup of the Universal style consists of the microphone capsule (smaller than an aspirin) mated with a magnet, covered with several coats of vinyl rubber and small foam "windscreen" to protect the mic diaphram.

(SEE PIC ON SIDEBAR AT LOWER  LEFT OF HERE OF MIC MOUNTED ON VIOLIN.

DUE TO IT'S VERSATILITY IN MOUNTING.  AND FOR VIOLIN, IT CAN BE MOUNTED ON THE BRIDGE, IN THE F HOLE, UNDER THE TAILPIECE, AT THE END OF THE FINGER BOARD . . .  PLUS AVAILABLE FOR ANY OTHER ACOUSTIC INSTRUMENT AMPLIFICATION AS WELL.

Using modern technology, we've created a tiny  unique microphone available for $120 with the sensitivity, power and frequency range of mics costing many times that.

For you audiophiles, Micromic has a frequency response of 20 cps to 18,000 cps, virtually flat response!  That means it will pick up nearly the total range of human hearing, with realistic sound reproduction!

THE UNIVERSAL STYLE  MICROMIC - nothing else like it!!

For violins and violas (and mandolins or other instruments with f-holes) using the Universal style Micromic, we will include a cone-shaped foam covered magnetic holder which can be gently pressed onto an f hole and the mic attached magnetically to it.

Or we can include "peel and stick" magnets which  allow placement of the Micromic on the bridge or other locations of the fiddle, cello, voila or even bass - and on virtually any other acoustic instrument you wish to amplify!

Please tell us how you plan to use the Micromic so we may provide the proper accessories for adapting to the instruments on which you wish to use it.

Note microphone attached to foam plug in f hole of violin

(left side of pic above)

Attached to the acoustic microphone capsule is a 3 1/2 foot shielded cable (or length of your choice) ending with the 1/4" diameter phone plug/battery module. You then plug in a cable to run to the amplifier or to a wireless transmitter. (SEE BELOW).  Use your own cable with 1/4' phone jacks (ala guitar cables) or order a cable separately here if needing a longer cable to amplifier.

NOTE: With our Micromics,  a musician can  play the violin and sing or talk into the same microphone!

Great, for example, fiddlers/ callers for square dances.

Also great for solo act guitar/vocalist:  mic can be mounted above the strings and it will pick up the guitar and vocals.  MANY applications possible!

We will supply holders or attaching devices for any instrument.  Each mic comes with 4 page color illustrated instructions for attaching to violin and guitar with suggestions for other instruments.

As with our Incredibows, our Micromics are handcrafted and each one is tested before shipping.

ARE YOU READY TO STEP UP TO THE LATEST TECHNOLOGY?  THEN GO WIRELESS!!

Our Universal Micromic works well as the "pick up" for wireless transmitters  We have been selling wireless units but needed to cut back on these and other accessories in order to concentrate on our bowcrafting.  But we recommend you consider purchasing an AKG brand system.  Here are some pics of this system

WHAT IS A WIRELESS SYSTEM?

Pictured above is our AKG WMS40 BODY PACK SYSTEM - the "entry level" professional system.  I'm holding the "bodypak transmitter" which you wear on your person - in a pocket or clipped to your clothing.  Micromic plugs directly into the transmitter through a short cable.  The receiver (on right above) sits on or near the amplifier offstage and plugs into the amp just as a microphone cable would plug into it. The sound of your instrument is transmitted through the air (like a tiny FM radio station) on a crystal controlled UHF frequency and picked up by the receiver, then amplified through the PA amplifier. Therefore, THERE ARE NO CABLES BETWEEN YOU AND THE AMPLIFIER, FREEING YOU TO MOVE FREELY  WITHIN A 150 FOOT RADIUS OF THE RECEIVER.

BEST FOR THE MONEY!

HERE'S OUR UNIVERSAL MICROMIC PLUGGED INTO THE AKG40 TRANSMITTER.

TO LEARN MORE ABOUT WIRELESS OR CONSIDER A UNIT, GO TO:

CLICK ON "PRODCUCTS" PAGE

Then click on the "wireless" page

READ THE SPECS OF THE WMS40 WIRELESS SYSTEMS WHICH WE'VE DESCRIBED ABOVE.  ONLY TWO OF SEVERAL AKG SYSTEMS ARE DESCRIBED ABOVE - WHICH ARE THE "ENTRY LEVEL" SYSTEMS.

Specifically, the bodypack system is the WMS40GT system; the "Fiddlebug" systerm described above is the AKG WMS40GB (Guitar Bug) system.
